HIKING IN THE STUBAITAL
In the Stubaital, an almost limitless network of well-signposted hiking trails awaits you at all levels of difficulty. Powerful places such as the idyllic alpine pastures and the untouched high mountain landscape take pleasure hikers and alpinists into another world, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Easy tours, sparkling adventure and theme trails, four mountain railways and alpine tours to the breathtaking peaks of the Seven Summits promise an unforgettable nature experience!
The exciting Tree House Trail is directly accessible from the Sporthotel Cristall via the Schlick 2000 and offers an unforgettable experience for the whole family. The path is easy to walk on and can also be used with prams. The tree house trail stretches from the forest floor up to the treetops, to the home of the dwarf Bardin. For his dwarf dwelling in the different tree houses, the friendly dwarf used sustainable building materials from the surrounding area and processed them with great attention to detail to create a dwarf playground, a dwarf treasure chamber, a dwarf kitchen, a dwarf bedroom and a dwarf workshop.
The adventurous dwarf Bardin whisks the little visitors away to his magical realm of giant trees, slides, ropes, tunnels, games and excitement.
In the spruce forest between the panorama lake and the Froneben middle station in the Schlick 2000, the family-friendly Scheibenweg provides exciting whirlwind fun. The path, which is suitable for prams, is about 1.5 km long and the walking time is about one hour. Along the gullies at the edge of the path, special wooden discs accompany the hikers towards the valley. Tricky tasks have to be solved at the various stations and a lot of intuition is required. The biggest challenge is to prevent the disc from falling to the ground.
Like a majestic pyramid of rock, the legendary Serles towers over the Stubai Alps and the mountain world of Innsbruck. From our "Double Rooms Serlesblick", experience the seductive face of the summit queen and inevitably fall under its spell. The mountain is calling! You reach the idyllic Maria Waldrast monastery via a pleasant forest road. From the monastery well, you walk up in a few hairpin bends for about 20 minutes through the light-flooded forest. The steep trail then leads through mountain pine and scree fields to the Serlesgrube and from there to a wide cirque.
Past a refreshing spring, the trail continues steeply up to the 2,384 m high Serlesjöchl. Directly at the Joch, a boulder is climbed with a small iron ladder. From here a narrow path leads on to the spacious summit plateau. The approx. five-hour ascent to the 2,717 m high Serles is rewarded with a brilliant view over the Stubai Valley and the Inn Valley. On the Serles, described by Goethe as the "high altar of Tyrol", you experience boundless freedom and become one with the spectacular mountain scenery.
